Behaviour and Inclusion Mentor - Wellingborough

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Pay: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a number of secondary schools in the Wellingborough area who are seeking a committed and empathetic Behaviour and Inclusion Mentor to support students who require additional behavioural, emotional, or pastoral support.

This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about inclusion and supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning.

The role:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group mentoring to support behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation

  • Supporting students with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, or at risk of exclusion

  • Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, SENDCOs, and SLT

  • Supporting behaviour management strategies both in and out of the classroom

  • Helping students develop positive relationships, resilience, and self-regulation

  • Contributing to individual behaviour plans and progress monitoring

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people with behavioural or inclusion needs

  • Is calm, patient, and resilient, with a positive and consistent approach

  • Has strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Can work effectively as part of a wider pastoral and inclusion team

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
