Electronics Engineering Teacher - FE College - Northamptonshire (Temporary Role)

Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a respected Further Education College in Northamptonshire who are seeking an experienced and motivated Electronics Engineering Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an electronics specialist or qualified lecturer who is passionate about inspiring and training future engineers in a hands-on and supportive learning environment.

The role will involve delivering engaging and industry-relevant teaching across a range of electronics and electrical engineering topics. You will support students in developing essential technical knowledge, practical workshop skills, and an understanding of modern electronic systems used in today's engineering industries.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching in electronics engineering at FE level

  • Supporting learners with practical skills including circuit building, fault finding, soldering, and testing

  • Teaching key theoretical topics such as analogue and digital electronics, microcontrollers, and electrical principles

  • Planning lessons and assessments aligned with the college curriculum and awarding body standards

  • Monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback to support achievement

  • Maintaining a safe and well-organised electronics lab/workshop environment in line with health and safety regulations

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues within the engineering and technology department

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience teaching electronics or electrical engineering in an FE setting or training environment

  • Strong industry knowledge of electronic systems and practical engineering applications

  • A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

  • The ability to engage and motivate learners aged 16+

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
