Science Teacher - Northampton
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Start Date: February or March 2026

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a number of progressive and well-supported secondary schools in Northampton that are looking to appoint committed Science Teachers from February or March 2026. These opportunities are available on both a permanent and long-term basis, depending on your preference and experience.
The Role:
Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with potential for KS5 depending on experience)
Inspire curiosity through practical investigations, experiments, and real-world scientific applications
Differentiate effectively to support learners of varying abilities, including SEND students
Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment development, and departmental initiatives
Support enrichment opportunities such as STEM clubs, trips, and extra-curricular activities
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Holds QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics (specialists and generalists welcome)
Demonstrates effective classroom management and the ability to engage students of all abilities
Passionate about raising attainment and promoting a love of Science
A collaborative team player who contributes positively to department and whole-school life
