Unqualified Maths Teacher - Secondary School
Location: Brackley, Northamptonshire
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term Position (Potential for Permanent Role)
Salary: £100-£170 per day (dependent on experience and level of support required)

The Role

  • Deliver pre-planned Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring clear explanations and purposeful learning

  • Support students in strengthening their numeracy, reasoning, and exam skills

  • Create a positive and focused classroom atmosphere

  • Adapt lesson content to meet the needs of different ability groups

  • Work closely with experienced members of the Maths department

  • Take part in training and development opportunities to enhance your practice

The Ideal Candidate

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject (or strong academic background in Maths)

  • Experience working with young people in any setting (e.g. tutoring, coaching, mentoring, classroom support)

  • Confident leading a class and explaining key concepts

  • Organised, reliable, and proactive

  • A genuine ambition to move into qualified teaching in the future

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply

This role is particularly suited to candidates planning to undertake a PGCE, SCITT, or school-based teacher training route.
