About the Role

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking passionate and reliable Tutors to work with children and young people across Wellingborough and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy one-to-one or small-group teaching and want to make a real difference to learners who need additional academic support.

You may be supporting students who are:

  • Out of mainstream education

  • Awaiting school placements

  • Requiring extra support due to SEND, SEMH, or medical needs

Sessions may take place in schools, at students' homes, or in community settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, tailored lessons in line with the student's needs

  • Support learning in core subjects (English, Maths, or Science preferred)

  • Build positive relationships and boost learner confidence

  • Track progress and provide feedback to relevant professionals

Requirements

  • Previous tutoring, teaching, or education experience (formal or informal)

  • Strong subject knowledge in at least one core subject

  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to individual learners

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Reliable transport is desirable due to local travel
