Behaviour Mentor - Secondary Schools (Full-Time, 5 Days per Week)
Location: Lambeth, London
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentor to work full-time across welcoming and supportive secondary schools in Lambeth. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, resilient individual who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social needs, helping them remain engaged in education and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group behavioural support to students.
Work closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, and pastoral staff to implement behaviour strategies.
Support students who may be at risk of disengagement from learning.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation within the school environment.
Build strong, supportive relationships with students to encourage confidence and motivation.
Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour.
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar behavioural support role within a school setting.
Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and student support techniques.
Experience supporting secondary-aged students.
A degree is preferred, particularly in psychology, education, youth work, or a related field.
Excellent communication, patience, and resilience.
A proactive and supportive approach to working with young people.
