Behaviour Mentor - Secondary Schools (Full-Time, 5 Days per Week)
Location: Lambeth, London

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentor to work full-time across welcoming and supportive secondary schools in Lambeth. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, resilient individual who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social needs, helping them remain engaged in education and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group behavioural support to students.

  • Work closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, and pastoral staff to implement behaviour strategies.

  • Support students who may be at risk of disengagement from learning.

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation within the school environment.

  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students to encourage confidence and motivation.

  • Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar behavioural support role within a school setting.

  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and student support techniques.

  • Experience supporting secondary-aged students.

  • A degree is preferred, particularly in psychology, education, youth work, or a related field.

  • Excellent communication, patience, and resilience.

  • A proactive and supportive approach to working with young people.
