Science Technician - Secondary School (Full-Time, 5 Days per Week)
Location: Lewisham, South East London

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Technician to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Lewisham on a full-time basis (5 days per week). Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

  • Supporting teachers during practical experiments when required

  • Maintaining and organising laboratory equipment and resources

  • Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed within the science laboratories

  • Managing stock, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate inventory records

  • Safely storing chemicals and disposing of laboratory waste in accordance with regulations

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Science Technician within a school or laboratory environment

  • Strong subject knowledge in science (Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics)

  • A degree in a science-related subject is preferred

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • A proactive and reliable approach to supporting teaching staff and students

  • A strong understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures
