Art / Design & Technology Technician - Full Time (5 Days per Week)

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Art / Design & Technology Technician to join a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in Lambeth on a full-time, 5-day per week basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong subject knowledge and prior technician experience to play a key role in supporting creative learning across the school.
The successful candidate will support the Art and DT departments by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and assisting teachers to ensure practical lessons run smoothly and safely. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and organise materials, tools, and equipment for Art and DT lessons
Support teachers with the setup and clear-down of practical classes and projects
Maintain, check, and safely store specialist equipment and machinery
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within workshops and studios
Assist with displays, exhibitions, and student projects where required
Monitor stock levels and help manage ordering and inventory of materials
Requirements
Previous experience working as an Art or DT Technician in a school or similar setting
Strong knowledge of Art and/or Design & Technology materials, tools, and processes
A relevant degree or technical qualification is preferred
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Confidence working in a practical, workshop or studio-based environment
A proactive and supportive approach to working with staff and students
