About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Unqualified Dance Teacher to join a vibrant school/community programme in the Corby area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong dance experience who is passionate about working with young people and keen to develop their teaching skills, even if they do not yet hold formal teaching qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging dance lessons to students of varying ages and abilities
Plan and prepare fun, inclusive, and safe dance activities
Support school performances, shows, and extracurricular clubs
Encourage confidence, creativity, and teamwork through dance
Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment
Requirements
Strong background in dance (any style - street, contemporary, ballet, musical theatre, etc.)
Experience working with children or young people (formal or informal)
Good communication and classroom management skills
Willingness to learn and develop teaching skills
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
Coaching, performing, or teaching experience
Dance qualifications (not essential)
Interest in working towards a teaching qualification
