Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Salary: £100-£120 per day (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible supply available

Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to work in secondary schools in the Corby area. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals who enjoy working with young people and supporting their learning.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of the regular teacher. You will deliver pre-set work, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure students remain on task throughout the lesson.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising whole classes during teacher absences

  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Providing support to students where required

  • Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people (school, tutoring, coaching, youth work, etc.)

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A confident and professional manner

  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Desirable:

  • Degree or relevant qualification

  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor / Teaching Assistant / Tutor

  • Interest in teacher training or education careers
