Job Advertisement: Drama Teacher - Secondary School (Corby)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative Drama Teacher to join our successful secondary school in Corby, Northamptonshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students and develop their confidence, creativity, and performance skills across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 for a suitably experienced candidate.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons to students aged 11-16 (KS3-KS4).

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can participate and achieve.

  • Organise and support school productions, performances, and extracurricular drama activities.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment and events.

  • Work collaboratively within the Performing Arts department and across the school.

About You

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.

  • Has experience teaching Drama in a secondary school setting (ECTs welcome to apply).

  • Is passionate about the performing arts and committed to high standards of teaching and learning.

  • Has strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students of all abilities.

  • Is willing to contribute to extracurricular activities and school productions.
