Job Description
Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) - SEN School
We are excited to announce the opening of a brand-new site in Irthlingborough and are seeking passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something from the very beginning-helping shape a nurturing, supportive, and inspiring environment for young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
As an LSA, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support, both in and out of the classroom, helping students to access learning, develop independence, and build confidence.
We are looking for individuals who are patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine passion for making a difference in young people's lives. Previous experience in SEN is desirable but not essential - we welcome applicants with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting with classroom activities and differentiated learning
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Helping to create a safe, structured, and engaging environment
In return, we offer:
- A supportive and collaborative team environment
- Ongoing training and professional development
- The chance to contribute to a new and evolving provision
- Opportunities for career progression
If you are committed to inclusion and want to be part of an exciting new chapter in SEN education, we would love to hear from you.
