Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-regarded primary school in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 3 Class Teacher to join their team after the Easter break.

This is a fantastic opportunity to teach in Lower Key Stage 2 within a welcoming, inclusive school that prides itself on strong pupil outcomes and a supportive staff culture. The school is a one-form entry setting (with two classes in Year 5) and continues to build on its positive Ofsted inspection.

The Job

  • Full-time Year 3 class teacher position starting 14th April 2026
  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons tailored to Year 3 learners
  • Supporting pupils with the transition into Key Stage 2
  • Assessing, tracking and reporting on pupil progress
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in a primary setting (KS2 experience desirable)
  • A strong understanding of:
    • Lower KS2 curriculum and transition from KS1
    • Child development and adaptive teaching strategies
    • Effective behaviour management and inclusive practice
    • Assessment and progress tracking
  • A nurturing, proactive and enthusiastic approach
