Tradewind Recruitment is currently supporting a well-regarded primary school in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, in their search for an experienced and driven Year 6 Class Teacher to join their team after Easter.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal Upper Key Stage 2 role, supporting pupils through their final year of primary education and preparing them for SATs and secondary transition in a school with a strong track record of success.

The Role

  • Full-time Year 6 class teacher position starting 14th April 2026
  • Delivering high-quality, structured lessons with a focus on SATs preparation
  • Supporting pupils academically and emotionally through their final primary year
  • Monitoring progress, identifying gaps and implementing targeted interventions
  • Maintaining a focused, positive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Working closely with colleagues, leadership and parents to maximise outcomes

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (preferably Year 6)
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • SATs preparation and assessment frameworks
    • Data-driven teaching and targeted intervention strategies
    • Behaviour management and high expectations
    • Preparing pupils for transition to secondary school
  • A resilient, organised and motivated approach
