Qualified Supply Teacher - SEN School (East Northampton)

Are you a qualified teacher looking for flexible work in a rewarding and supportive environment? We are currently recruiting a dedicated and adaptable Supply Teacher to support a SEN school based in East Northamptonshire, covering staff absence and ensuring continuity of learning for students with additional needs.

This role offers the opportunity to work with pupils who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining a structured and positive classroom environment, and adapting your teaching approach to meet the diverse needs of learners.

The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience working within SEN settings or with students who require additional support. You will need to be confident managing a classroom, responding to varying levels of ability, and using a calm, consistent approach to behaviour and engagement. Flexibility, resilience, and strong communication skills are key to succeeding in this role.

As a Supply Teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring students continue to receive high-quality education during staff absence. You will work closely with support staff and follow the school's established routines and strategies to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering lessons across a range of subjects in line with school planning
• Supporting students with additional needs to access the curriculum
• Managing behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and SEN staff
