We're working with a secondary school in Northampton that is looking to appoint an Art & Design Instructor from June or September 2026. The school is ideally seeking a permanent appointment but can offer flexibility for fixed-term or long-term supply depending on your availability.

The Role:
- Delivering Art & Design lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 may be available depending on experience)
- Planning engaging, practical lessons using a variety of materials and techniques
- Supporting students in developing both technical skills and creative thinking
- Encouraging experimentation, independence, and confidence
- Monitoring progress and providing clear, constructive feedback
- Maintaining a safe, organised, and well-equipped classroom or studio environment
- Contributing to displays, coursework moderation, and department planning
What We're Looking For:
- A relevant qualification in Art & Design (teaching qualification beneficial but not essential)
- Experience working in a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach
- Ability to engage students across different ability levels
- Good classroom management and organisation
- A genuine passion for creativity and student development
- Willingness to contribute to wider school life
