Year 2 Teacher - Leyland

The Role

As a Year 2 Class Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils through a crucial stage in their learning, helping them build strong foundations in preparation for Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Supporting pupils' academic and personal development, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Preparing pupils for end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assessing progress and implementing targeted interventions where needed.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience desirable).
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Have excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Be committed, reliable, and passionate about teaching.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
  • Provide professional references and have the legal right to work in the UK.
