EYFS Teacher - Preston (Open to ECTs)

Are you a passionate and nurturing Early Years teacher ready to inspire young learners at the very start of their educational journey? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Preston.

This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026, and the school is open to applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced practitioners.


The Role

As an EYFS Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping children's early learning experiences, creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.

  • Location: Preston, Lancashire

  • Start Date: September 2026

  • Position: EYFS Teacher

  • Contract: Full-time, long-term

  • Pay: Competitive daily rates (with potential for pay to scale)


Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering creative, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework.

  • Supporting children's development across all areas of learning, including communication, social skills, and early literacy/numeracy.

  • Creating a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.

  • Observing, assessing, and tracking pupil progress in line with EYFS expectations.

  • Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.

  • Contributing to the wider school community and EYFS provision.


Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT).

  • Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.

  • Demonstrate a nurturing and child-centred approach to teaching.

  • Have excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • Be committed, enthusiastic, and reflective in your practice.

  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).

  • Provide professional references and have the legal right to work in the UK.
