About the Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to support learning across a range of subjects. This role is designed to give you first-hand experience in the classroom, helping you build confidence, understand school life, and strengthen your future SCITT application.
What You'll Do:
Support students in lessons, both in groups and one-to-one
Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
Gain exposure to different teaching styles and subject areas
Help create a positive and engaging learning environment
Receive mentoring and advice on progressing to SCITT training
Progression Opportunity:
Following successful experience in the role, you will be supported in applying for a SCITT programme, giving you a clear and structured pathway into teaching and achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
What We're Looking For:
A UK undergraduate degree (2:2 or above preferred)
A strong interest in pursuing a teaching career
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, enthusiastic, and resilient attitude
GCSEs in English and Maths (and Science for primary pathways)
