About the Role:
As a Graduate Humanities Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons and support the teaching of Humanities subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Education. You will gain hands-on classroom experience, helping you build confidence and strengthen your future SCITT application.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver pre-set Humanities lessons in the absence of the regular teacher

  • Support students in lessons, both in groups and one-to-one

  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

  • Engage students in discussion-based and analytical learning

  • Gain insight into effective Humanities teaching strategies

Progression Opportunity:
Following successful experience in the role, you will be supported in applying for a SCITT programme specialising in Humanities, leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

What We're Looking For:

  • A UK undergraduate degree in a Humanities-related subject (e.g. History, Geography, Religious Studies or similar)

  • A strong interest in pursuing a career as a Humanities teacher

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and resilient attitude

  • GCSEs in English and Maths
