About the Role:
As a Graduate Science Teaching Assistant, you will support the delivery of Science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), working closely with teachers and students to enhance learning and engagement. This role is designed to give you first-hand experience in a science classroom, helping you build confidence and strengthen your future SCITT application.

What You'll Do:

  • Support students in Science lessons, both in groups and one-to-one

  • Assist teachers with practical experiments and lesson delivery

  • Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe lab environment

  • Provide targeted support to students who need additional help in Science

  • Gain insight into effective Science teaching strategies

Progression Opportunity:
Following successful experience in the role, you will be supported in applying for a SCITT programme specialising in Science, leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

What We're Looking For:

  • A UK undergraduate degree in a Science-related subject (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics or similar)

  • A strong interest in pursuing a career as a Science teacher

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and resilient attitude

  • GCSEs in English and Maths
