About the Role:
As a Graduate English Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned English lessons and support students in developing their reading, writing, and analytical skills. You will gain hands-on classroom experience, helping you build confidence and strengthen your future SCITT application.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver pre-set English lessons in the absence of the regular teacher

  • Support students in lessons, both in groups and one-to-one

  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

  • Encourage engagement with literature, language, and writing tasks

  • Gain insight into effective English teaching strategies

Progression Opportunity:
Following successful experience in the role, you will be supported in applying for a SCITT programme specialising in English, leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
