Job Description

Primary Supply Teachers | Blackpool & Fylde Coast | EYFS, KS1 & KS2

Location: Blackpool and surrounding areas (Kirkham to Fleetwood)

Start Date: September 2026

Pay: £120 - £168.80+ per day (Dependent on role and experience)

Are you an experienced Educator or an ECT looking for your next challenge in Blackpool? Whether you are an EYFS specialist, a KS1 expert, or a KS2 practitioner, we have a variety of opportunities tailored to your expertise.

As we approach the new academic year, we are seeking versatile Primary Teachers to support our partner schools. This is your chance to build a flexible career that works for you.

Choose Your Path: Daily Cover vs. Long-Term Teaching

We offer two distinct ways to work, allowing you to choose the level of responsibility that fits your current lifestyle:

1. Daily Ad-hoc Cover (£120 - £150 per day)

  • The Role: Deliver pre-planned lessons provided by the school. This is the ultimate "work-life balance" role, when the bell rings, your day is done.

  • The Benefit: No planning, no assessment, and no staff meetings. It is an excellent "stepping stone" to explore different school environments without the long-term commitment.

  • Requirements: High-quality lesson delivery, marking the day's work, and ensuring a tidy classroom reset.

2. Long-Term Teaching Posts (£168.80+ per day)

  • The Role: Take full ownership of a class. This includes planning, assessment, and wider school contributions such as parent's evenings and staff meetings.

  • The Benefit: Gain deep experience within a specific school community, often leading to permanent recruitment and internal contracts.

  • Pay: Paid to the M-Scale (minimum £168.80 per day).

What We Are Looking For:

We are specifically recruiting teachers with specialisms in the following areas:

  • EYFS: Experts in early development and the EYFS framework.

  • Key Stage 1: Teachers who can spark a love for learning in Year 1 and 2.

  • Key Stage 2: Practitioners capable of driving progress and preparing students for the transition to secondary school.

Why Work with Tradewind?

  • September Strategy: Secure your spot in Blackpool's best schools before the 2026/27 academic year begins.

  • Flexibility: Choose the days you work and the age groups you teach.

  • Free CPD: Boost your CV with access to over 2,500 accredited courses.

  • Local Support: Benefit from our 8 years of experience supporting Fylde Coast schools.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

  • Strong classroom management and a passion for student progress.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

  • A professional, reliable approach to supply teaching.
