Position: Nursery Nurse / Early Years Practitioner
Location: Blackpool (Local Authority, Independent, and School-based settings)
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 08:30 - 15:30 (32.5 Hours Per Week)
Salary: £14.25 - £15.00 per hour
Contract: Term-Time, Temporary

The Role: Energy, Creativity, and Care
Working with young children requires enthusiasm, energy, and a "can-do" attitude. You will provide vital support to children as they develop their social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
- Creative Play: You should be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, engaging in sensory activities, messy play, and creative arts.
- Developmental Support: Help children reach key milestones in a safe and inclusive environment.
- Stability: This is a consistent, full-time role (32.5 hours per week) throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities
- Activity Delivery: Support the planning and delivery of engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor and assess children's progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Collaboration: Work alongside teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to early years education.
- Relationship Building: Foster strong, trusting relationships with both the children and their families.
The Ideal Nursery Nurse
- Qualified: A Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education is essential.
- Experienced: Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
- Knowledgeable: A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
- Passionate: A genuine drive to promote the well-being and development of young children.
