Graduate TA & HLTA Roles - Blackpool, Thornton & Fleetwood

Location: Blackpool, Thornton, and Fleetwood (Multiple Schools)

Pay: £14.25 - £16.50 per hour (Depending on role and responsibilities)

Hours: Monday - Friday (Term-time only)

Contract: Autumn Term (September - December 2026)

Start Date: September 2026

We are seeking ambitious graduates to join local primary schools across Blackpool, Thornton, and Fleetwood for the upcoming Autumn Term. This is a premier opportunity to gain high-quality classroom experience and build a standout professional profile as the new academic year begins.

Choose Your Pathway

We have flexible fixed-term placements available. Whether you want to provide essential classroom support or take your first steps into leadership, we have a role for you:

  • Teaching Assistants (TA) - £14.25 per hour

    • Support classroom teachers in facilitating play-based and structured learning.

    • Provide 1:1 support for children with SEN, EHCP, and IEP needs.

    • Assist with lunch cover and break time supervision to ensure a safe, positive environment.

  • Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) - Up to £16.50 per hour

    • Classroom Leadership: Provide PPA and short-term cover, delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum.

    • Phonics & Literacy: Support ReadWriteInc delivery to help pupils become confident readers.

    • Holistic Support: Work with Nurture Teams to implement the six principles of nurture.

    • Interventions: Lead specific learning activities and adapt resources for diverse needs.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Final-year students or recent graduates of a BA (Hons) in Teaching and Learning, Early Years, or a similar recognised degree.

  • Passion: A genuine desire to work within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Primary Education.

  • Reliability: Proactive individuals ready to hit the ground running this September.

  • Compliance: All positions are subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
