Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, well-structured lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum

  • Support pupils' academic progress across core and foundation subjects

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

  • Assess and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs

  • Manage behaviour effectively, promoting a respectful and focused atmosphere

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership

  • Build strong relationships with pupils and parents/carers

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 3 experience desirable)

  • Demonstrates strong curriculum knowledge and effective teaching practice

  • Is organised, proactive, and reflective in their approach

  • Has excellent classroom management skills

  • Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing

  • Works well as part of a team and contributes to school life
