is currently recruiting for a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil within a supportive primary school in Oldham.

The Role

As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide focused 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with behavioural needs

Use effective de-escalation and behaviour management strategies to support positive outcomes

Work closely with the class teacher and external professionals to follow an individual support plan

Encourage the pupil's engagement in learning and classroom activities

Maintain a calm, positive, and consistent approach throughout the school day

Record behaviour incidents, progress, and interventions when required

Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil to encourage confidence and development

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience supporting pupils with SEND and/or challenging behaviour

Team-Teach training, or willingness to complete relevant training

A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour support

Strong communication and teamwork skills

The ability to adapt quickly to changing situations within the classroom

A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
