Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to work within secondary schools in the Kettering area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive school environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with the work provided. The successful candidate will be confident managing classroom behaviour, maintaining high expectations, and creating a positive learning environment in line with school policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects
- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Support students with their learning where appropriate
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong classroom management abilities
- Confidence leading a classroom independently
