Health & Social Care Teacher
Location: Northampton
Start Date: September 2026 | Full-Time | Permanent Preferred (Fixed-Term or Long-Term Supply Considered)

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a successful and well-regarded secondary school in Northampton seeking a dedicated Health & Social Care Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time opportunity, with the school ideally looking to appoint on a permanent basis, although fixed-term contracts and long-term supply arrangements will also be considered for the right candidate.

Your role will include:

  • Teaching Health & Social Care across Key Stages 4 and 5
  • Delivering engaging lessons that help students understand health, wellbeing, and social care practices
  • Supporting students in developing both academic knowledge and real-world understanding of the sector
  • Preparing students for coursework and examinations through structured guidance and support
  • Contributing to curriculum development and wider enrichment opportunities within the department

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS/QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Has strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Health & Social Care
  • Can create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
  • Has excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Works well as part of a collaborative team
  • Is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
