Are you a proactive and technically skilled IT professional looking to support a busy secondary school environment? We are currently working with a secondary school in Wellingborough that is seeking an organised and reliable IT Technician to join its team either as soon as possible or from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive school community, playing a key role in maintaining and developing the school's IT infrastructure while supporting both staff and students with their technology needs.

Your role will involve:

• Providing first-line IT support to staff and students across the school
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues efficiently
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
• Supporting classroom technology, interactive displays, and audiovisual equipment
• Assisting with user account management, passwords, and access permissions
• Monitoring and maintaining the school's network and IT systems
• Supporting the rollout of new hardware and software across the school
• Maintaining accurate records of IT assets, repairs, and support requests

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in an IT support or technician role
• Has strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Possesses a good understanding of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and network systems
• Is organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Communicates confidently with both technical and non-technical users
• Works well independently and as part of a wider team

Previous experience within a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
