Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking confident, reliable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in a range of secondary schools across the Wellingborough area.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a career in teaching, experienced education professionals, or individuals with strong behaviour management skills looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. You will deliver pre-prepared lesson materials, ensure students remain on task, manage classroom behaviour, and provide a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising classes across a variety of subjects.

  • Delivering work set by teaching staff.

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Supporting students to remain engaged with their learning.

  • Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, or youth work setting.

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.

  • Confidence leading groups of students aged 11-16.

  • A flexible and proactive approach.

  • A genuine interest in education and supporting student achievement.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Right to work in the UK.

  • Satisfactory references covering the last two years.
