The Role

As a French Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging French lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan and deliver creative lessons that develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students of all abilities
  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress
  • Foster an appreciation of French language and culture
  • Contribute to the wider Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department and school community
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident to participate and succeed

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching French at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills
  • The ability to inspire and motivate young people
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • A commitment to raising achievement and delivering high-quality teaching
  • ECTs are welcome to apply and will receive full support and mentoring where applicable
