SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full-Time | Term Time Only
Are you a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a welcoming and supportive school in Kettering.

We are currently supporting a fantastic school in Kettering that is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant who can make a positive difference to the lives of pupils with additional learning needs.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and moderate learning difficulties. Your role will involve supporting pupils on both a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will be caring, resilient, and adaptable, with a genuine commitment to supporting children with additional needs. Previous experience working within a school or supporting children with SEN is highly desirable, although applicants with relevant transferable experience from care, youth work, or similar settings are also encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils with SEN in the classroom and during school activities.
- Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences.
- Implementing individual support strategies and education plans.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
