Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Wellingborough to recruit a passionate and dedicated Social Sciences Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to join a supportive department and inspire students across Key Stages 4 and 5. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach one or more Social Science subjects, including Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, or Health & Social Care.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Social Science subjects.

  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements.

  • Inspire students to develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and an understanding of contemporary social issues.

  • Monitor and support student progress, ensuring all learners reach their full potential.

  • Contribute positively to departmental development and wider school life.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has strong subject knowledge within Social Sciences.

  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • Is committed to raising attainment and creating an inclusive learning environment.

  • Has a genuine passion for education and student success.
