Tradewind Recruitment are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Casual Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Wellingborough and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, youth workers, or individuals looking for flexible work within education. As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.

No planning or marking is required, making this an ideal role for those looking to gain valuable classroom experience while maintaining a flexible work-life balance.

The Role

  • Deliver pre-set lesson materials across a variety of subjects.

  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.

  • Ensure students remain focused and complete the work provided.

  • Follow school policies and procedures at all times.

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student participation and behaviour.

  • Adapt confidently to different school settings and age groups.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Confident managing groups of students in a classroom environment.

  • Flexible, professional, and adaptable approach to work.
