Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with special educational needs
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil requirements
• Encourage pupils to participate in lessons and develop their independence
• Support children with their social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider SEND team
• Monitor pupil engagement and share progress with teaching staff
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment

Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable
• Understanding of SEND and inclusive classroom practice
• Calm, patient, and compassionate approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
• Flexible and proactive attitude towards supporting learning
• Genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to education
