The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality English Language and English Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Create an engaging learning environment that fosters a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking.

• Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement.

• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students of varying abilities.

• Contribute to the wider life of the English department and school community.

• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and academic performance.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Have experience teaching English at secondary level.

• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for English.

• Be committed to raising standards and improving outcomes for all learners.

• Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• Be able to motivate and inspire students from a range of backgrounds and abilities.
