Performing Arts Coach - Northampton

Are you a creative and enthusiastic Performing Arts Coach with a passion for inspiring young people through drama, dance, and performance?
Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a number of vibrant secondary schools in Northampton who are seeking a full-time, permanent Performing Arts Coach to join their expressive arts departments from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in drama, dance, musical theatre, or wider performance work who is looking to build a long-term career in education and the arts.
In this exciting role, you will deliver engaging and inclusive Performing Arts sessions across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students to develop confidence, teamwork, communication skills, and a genuine enjoyment of performance both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging practical sessions in drama, dance, and/or performance
- Support curriculum-based Performing Arts lessons alongside teaching staff
- Lead and support extra-curricular clubs, rehearsals, and school productions
- Encourage creativity, collaboration, and self-expression among students
- Assist in organising school performances, showcases, and creative events
- Support student engagement, confidence-building, and participation in the arts
- Contribute to the wider life and success of the Performing Arts department
You'll Be a Great Fit If You:
- Have experience working with young people in Performing Arts (school, youth theatre, or community settings)
- Hold a relevant qualification in Drama, Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field (desirable but not essential)
- Are passionate about using the arts to inspire and develop young people
- Have strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Are confident managing groups of students in a structured and positive way
- Enjoy working as part of a creative and collaborative team
