Are you passionate about helping children communicate and reach their full potential? Do you have experience using British Sign Language (BSL), Makaton, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), PECS, or other communication strategies?

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a range of specialist SEN schools, alternative provisions and inclusive mainstream schools across Northamptonshire seeking dedicated Communication Specialist Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), developmental language disorders and complex learning needs.

As a Communication Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils develop their communication skills, access learning and build confidence. You'll work closely with teachers, SENCOs and Speech and Language Therapists to deliver personalised communication strategies and create an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

We welcome applications from candidates with experience using BSL, Makaton, AAC devices, PECS, Signalong, or similar communication methods. Previous experience working in schools, SEN settings, healthcare, residential care or support work is highly desirable.
