We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Rushden that is seeking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its team on a permanent basis from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced teachers, support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, and develop your career within a supportive and forward-thinking school.

The Role

  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across a range of curriculum subjects

  • Working with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to reinforce learning and improve confidence

  • Providing additional support for students with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and SEMH needs

  • Helping students remain engaged, focused, and motivated throughout the school day

  • Supporting positive behaviour and contributing to a calm, inclusive learning environment

  • Assisting with targeted interventions to improve progress in literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas

  • Encouraging students to develop independence, resilience, and confidence in their learning

  • Supporting wider pastoral care and contributing to the wellbeing of students across the school
