Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Classroom Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming secondary school in Wellingborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and want to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.

The Role

As a Classroom Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and support staff to help create a positive and engaging learning environment. You will support students both in and out of the classroom, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting students during lessons across a variety of subjects
Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation
Working with small groups and individual students who require additional support
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or additional learning needs where required
Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents

The Ideal Candidate

Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
Backgrounds in youth work, coaching, care, mentoring, customer service, or community work are welcomed
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
