We are working alongside a friendly and inclusive primary school in Kettering that is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about education and wants to become part of a supportive school community. You will play an important role in supporting pupils' academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development within a nurturing primary school environment.

The Role

  • Working closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of engaging and inspiring lessons

  • Providing support to pupils across the curriculum, both individually and in small groups

  • Supporting children with additional needs, including SEND, to access learning and reach their potential

  • Assisting with phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy activities

  • Encouraging pupils to stay engaged, motivated, and confident in their learning

  • Helping to promote positive behaviour and a supportive classroom atmosphere

  • Supporting targeted interventions to help children make progress

  • Building strong relationships with pupils and encouraging independence and resilience

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Is caring, patient, and enthusiastic when working with children

  • Can build positive relationships with pupils and provide encouragement and support

  • Has strong communication skills and works well with teachers and school staff

  • Is reliable, adaptable, and confident working in a busy classroom environment

  • Can work effectively as part of a team while also showing initiative when needed

  • Has previous experience working with children (education, childcare, nursery, youth work, coaching, or similar - desirable but not essential)
