Are you a passionate Science Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people? Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established Alternative Provision in Kettering to recruit an enthusiastic and resilient part-time Science Teacher for a long-term opportunity starting in September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who thrives in a nurturing, relationship-focused environment and is committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning. The provision supports pupils who have struggled to succeed in mainstream education and require a more personalised, therapeutic approach to achieve their full potential.

As the successful candidate, you will deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, adapting learning to meet the individual needs of students with a range of additional needs. Class sizes are small, allowing you to build positive relationships with pupils and provide tailored support that encourages both academic progress and personal development.

Many of the students have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and communication difficulties or have experienced disruption to their education. Your ability to inspire, motivate and create a calm, structured learning environment will be key to helping them re-engage with education.

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science within a secondary school, specialist setting or Alternative Provision.
• A strong understanding of supporting students with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• A flexible, patient and resilient approach.
• A genuine passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Tradewind Recruitment).
• The Right to Work in the UK.
