We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kettering that is seeking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026 on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and wants to play a key role in creating a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role
Supporting pupils across the primary curriculum both in the classroom and through targeted support activities
Working with children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, including pupils with additional learning needs (SEND)
Supporting pupils with their learning, confidence, communication, and independence
Assisting with reading, phonics, writing, and numeracy activities
Helping children access lessons and fully participate in classroom activities
Supporting pupils with emotional, social, and behavioural needs where required
Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom environment
Working alongside teachers and other professionals to support pupil progress
Providing encouragement and reassurance to help children achieve their individual goals

Has experience working with children (education, nursery, childcare, care, youth work, coaching, or similar - desirable but not essential)
