Depending on the placement, you could be providing one-to-one support, leading small group interventions or working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons.

To be considered for these opportunities, you must have:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within a school, specialist provision or similar setting.
  • A patient, resilient and caring approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
  • A flexible attitude and willingness to adapt to different school environments.
  • A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs achieve success.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Tradewind Recruitment).
  • The Right to Work in the UK.
