This role is perfect for graduates, aspiring teachers, teaching assistants, sports coaches, tutors, youth workers, and anyone with experience supporting young people who is keen to gain valuable classroom experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll ensure lessons continue smoothly when teachers are absent by supervising students, maintaining a positive learning environment, and encouraging pupils to stay focused on the work provided.

What You'll Be Doing

• Delivering pre-set lesson activities across a range of KS3 and KS4 subjects

• Supervising classes and ensuring students remain engaged throughout lessons

• Promoting positive behaviour and following the school's behaviour policy

• Providing clear feedback to teaching staff at the end of each lesson

• Supporting students to work independently and achieve their learning objectives

• Assisting with wider school responsibilities when required

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with young people in schools, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or similar environments

• Is confident leading a classroom and communicating with students of all abilities

• Can build positive relationships while maintaining high expectations

• Is organised, adaptable, and able to think on their feet

• Has a genuine enthusiasm for education and student development

• Is interested in progressing into teaching or another education-based career
