The Role

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 during teacher absences

  • Create a positive and focused learning environment where students can succeed

  • Encourage engagement and ensure pupils complete the work provided

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff following each lesson

  • Build strong relationships with students and colleagues

  • Become actively involved in the wider life of the school

  • A graduate with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in teaching

  • Experience working with young people through tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or education is desirable

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Confidence leading groups and presenting to a classroom

  • A positive, proactive, and professional attitude

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to different classroom environments
