Graduate Science Technician | September 2026

An innovative secondary school in Westminster is seeking an enthusiastic Science Technician to support its successful Science department from September 2026. This is a full-time opportunity, working five days each week for approximately one term, with an excellent possibility of the placement being extended.

Ideal for a Russell Group graduate, this role offers valuable experience within a well-equipped school laboratory environment.

Role Overview

Working as a Science Technician, you will play an important role in preparing practical lessons, maintaining laboratory equipment and supporting teachers in delivering engaging science education.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare laboratory equipment for practical lessons.

  • Maintain science resources and equipment.

  • Carry out stock checks and organise deliveries.

  • Ensure laboratories remain safe and compliant.

  • Support practical demonstrations when required.

  • Dispose of materials safely and responsibly.

  • Keep accurate equipment records.

Person Specification

  • Degree from a Russell Group University.

  • Excellent organisational ability.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Reliable and methodical approach.

  • Passion for science and education.
