Lunchtime Supervisor - SEN School
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Contract: Full-time or part-time available
Start Date: ASAP

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a caring, reliable, and proactive Lunchtime Supervisor to join a welcoming SEN school in Kettering.

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with special educational needs during lunchtime, helping to create a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment both in the dining hall and during recreational activities. The successful candidate will play an important role in encouraging positive social interactions, promoting independence, and ensuring pupils remain safe and supported throughout the lunch period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising pupils during lunch and break times.

  • Supporting children with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and social development.

  • Assisting pupils with mealtime routines where required.

  • Promoting inclusion and engagement in activities.

  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times.

  • Working closely with teaching and support staff to provide consistent support.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN, education, care, or support setting.

  • Be patient, compassionate, and understanding.

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Be confident supporting pupils with additional needs.

  • Be able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one through Tradewind Recruitment.
