Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Wellingborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is enthusiastic about delivering engaging and practical DT lessons that inspire students to develop their creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge.

The successful candidate will join a supportive department and teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students to develop confidence and achieve their full potential.

The Role:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Design Technology lessons.

  • Teaching DT across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Assessing, monitoring, and supporting student progress.

  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Encouraging creativity, innovation, and practical skills development.

  • Contributing to the wider life of the department and school community.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Has experience teaching Design Technology in a secondary school setting.

  • Possesses strong classroom management skills.

  • Is passionate about inspiring young people and raising attainment.

  • Can build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

  • Is committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
